DID YOU KNOW
1. that there was a Zoning Board Meeting last week, June 20.
2. that a fellow named Jim Martin wants to build a storage facility within
500 feet of the Forest Creek
development
3. that a zoning change is necessary for Mr. Martin to build that facility.
A zoning change that, in the long
run, could have serious consequences on the home values in Forest Creek.
I'M ASSUMING MANY OF OUR NEIGHBORS DID NOT KNOW AND
CONSEQUENTLY ONLY 15 OR 20 RESIDENTS ATTENDED THE ZONING
BOARD MEETING. FAR TOO FEW FOR A DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SIZE.
Fortunately, Martin's request for the zoning change was tabled until July 18, 2002.
We need 60 to 70 residents at the next Zoning Board meeting as a strong
show of support for the denial
of the zoning change.
In preparation for the Zoning Board hearing, there will be a meeting of
all interested parties at the FIRST
BAPTIST CHURCH on July 16, 2002 at 7 p.m., please mark your calendars.
I hope every home in this development is represented at both meetings.
Thanks a lot,
Dave Wharton, Interim President
Forest Creek Homeowners Asso.
